Job summary

The YMCA in Pittsboro, NC is seeking a Kid Zone Care Attendant to provide direct supervision to children in a caring, safe setting. Under the program supervisor, you will help deliver a quality experience aligned with the YMCA values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caring.

Responsibilities include leading age-appropriate activities, modeling positive behavior, communicating clearly with parents and staff, maintaining safety and cleanliness, attending trainings, and following policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Previous child care experience preferred.
• Must be professional, courteous and friendly.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
• Multilingual desired but not required.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the leadership of the program supervisor, coordinator and/or director, the Kid Zone Care Attendant provides direct supervision to a group of children in a childcare setting. They will help to provide a quality experience to children and parents through our YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

The Kid Zone Care Attendant is responsible for managing those functions in accordance with the stated mission, goals and policies established by the administrative staff, governing committees and Board of Directors of the YMCA.
