Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Hartford is hiring an Activity Associate - Kid Zone in Putnam, CT. This part-time role involves supervising children while families use the YMCA facilities, with shifts including mornings, evenings, and some Saturdays.

Responsibilities include supervising activities, serving snacks, maintaining toys/equipment, and reporting issues to supervision. CPR/AED/First Aid certifications are required within 30 days of hire. Must be at least 16 years old.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and understanding of child development.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the care and supervision of children while parents/guardians use the facility.
• Serve snacks and lunch, bottle feedings, and comfort upset children.
• Participate in play activities, ensuring quality and safety.
• Monitor children’s activities and behavior.
• Clean up and maintain toys and materials.
