The Granite YMCA in Manchester is looking for Kid Zone Attendants to provide short-term care for children while their parents engage in activities. This role offers flexible scheduling and a chance to impact youth development positively.

Responsibilities include creating fun activities, ensuring a safe environment, and building relationships with children and parents. Qualifications include childcare experience and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience working with children in childcare, camp, or recreational settings preferred.
• Ability to engage and supervise children of varying ages in a group setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, positive, and energetic approach to working with youth.

Responsibilities

• Provide a physically and emotionally safe environment for all children.
• Create fun, developmentally appropriate activities for a variety of ages.
• Build positive relationships with children; actively engage and supervise.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of each child in care.
• Monitor sign-in and sign-out; enforce time limits for program use.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with parents/guardians.
• Complete required tracking and attendance documentation.

The Granite YMCA is seeking Kid Zone Attendants to join our fun, welcoming, and mission-driven team! This is a great opportunity to gain experience in youth development while creating a safe, engaging environment for children as their parents enjoy the YMCA.

As a Kid Zone Attendant, you’ll play an important role in supporting families by providing short-term care for children in a positive, nurturing setting for up to two hours per visit.
