Kids 'R' Kids in Waco, TX is seeking a Bus Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for children to and from school, field trips, and other approved activities. The role demands maintaining a safe environment and following childcare licensing and transportation procedures.

Key duties include seat belt and restraint usage, vehicle inspections, accurate attendance logs, child-count procedures, and clear communication with families and school staff.

Qualifications

• Must meet Kids 'R' Kids and Texas childcare licensing requirements for transporting children.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
• CPR and First Aid certification must be maintained as required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children to and from local schools, field trips, and approved activities.
• Follow routes and schedules, and communicate delays to management.
• Complete vehicle safety inspections before and after each route.
• Maintain attendance and transportation logs for every trip.
• Verify each child when entering and exiting the vehicle and count accurately.
• Perform a vehicle walkthrough after every route to ensure no child is left onboard.
• Use restraints properly and ensure child safety during transport.
• Maintain supervision and behavior expectations during transportation.
• Follow traffic laws, licensing regulations, and transportation policies.
• Keep the vehicle clean and ready for daily use.
• Report accidents or safety concerns immediately to management.
• Ensure emergency info and transportation supplies are present in the vehicle.
• Avoid cell phone use and other distractions while driving.
• Communicate professionally with children, families, staff, and management.
• Assist with additional school duties when not actively driving.
