Job summary

Visora is seeking professionals who regularly use KiCad to record real, day-to-day workflows for our project. Selected contributors will use a lightweight app to submit uninterrupted sessions as they work on electronics designs.

Backgrounds in electrical engineering, embedded systems, hardware hacking or electronics hobbyist activities are ideal. Sessions must be continuous, and sensitive data must be avoided. Pay is $3–$20 per hour with weekly payouts via Stripe or Payoneer.

Job description

We're looking for professionals who use KiCad as part of their day-to-day workflow. Selected contributors will be paid to record their real workflows using a lightweight app we provide. Relevant backgrounds include electrical engineers, embedded systems developers, hardware hackers, and electronics hobbyists who regularly design and lay out printed circuit boards.

Requirements:

• Use our recording software to capture and submit sessions
• Record real, day-to-day work - sessions must be continuous and unedited
• Avoid capturing confidential, proprietary, or sensitive data (including passwords and personal data)
• Idle or low-activity sessions will not be paid

Sample Tasks:

• Create or open a schematic in KiCad's schematic editor, place components, wire them together, and annotate the design.
• Run the electrical rules check (ERC), assign footprints to components, and transfer the design to the PCB layout editor.
• Route traces between component pads in the PCB editor, set clearance rules, run the design rules check (DRC), and export Gerber manufacturing files.

Pay

$3-$20/hr. Payouts weekly on Wednesdays via Stripe or Payoneer.
