Job summary

SME Careers is seeking a KiCad Specialist (SME) to design realistic PCB tasks and document them clearly for AI training purposes. You will set up KiCad projects, ensure libraries and references are ready, and record yourself performing the tasks to demonstrate proper workflows.

As a remote contractor, you will produce high-quality, realistic tasks across time zones, ensuring detailed documentation and accurate project contexts for reviewers and AI model training.

Qualifications

• Hands-on KiCad experience for schematic design and PCB layout.
• Proficient in documenting tasks clearly and producing recordable workflows.
• Strong grasp of KiCad basics: projects, symbols, footprints, nets, layers, routing, ERC/DRC, fabrication outputs.

Responsibilities

• Create realistic KiCad tasks and document them clearly in the workflow system.
• Prepare the work environment, ensure KiCad and assets are ready before recording.
• Record task execution and ensure the workflow is clear, complete, and realistic.
