Job summary

Kendal at Lexington is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to maintain and service heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for our vibrant community. The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and customer-focused service within a campus-based environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year HVAC experience with troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining heating/cooling systems.
• Certification or license in HVAC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems.
• Install and replace HVAC equipment as it ages.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with developing HVAC maintenance programs.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with general facilities maintenance as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems.
• Install and replace HVAC equipment as the equipment ages.
• Perform preventive maintenance and help develop HVAC maintenance programs.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with general facilities maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of HVAC experience with the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain heating and cooling systems. Knowledge of HVAC principles, equipment, and preventive maintenance practices required.
• Certification or license in HVAC preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC equipment, controls, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Climb ladders and work in mechanical spaces.
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel throughout the workday.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
