Job summary

The Spice & Tea Exchange of Chagrin Falls, OH is hiring a Part-Time Key Holder/Sales Associate to welcome guests and drive sales in a fragrant specialty shop.

You’ll help customers discover spice blends and teas, assist with restocking and displays, and support daily store operations, including opening/closing and cash handling, while maintaining a clean, inviting environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and a friendly, customer-first attitude.
• Ability to use a POS system and basic technology.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a team environment.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Availability for flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a warm smile and greeting.
• Engage with customers to make personalized product recommendations.
• Become an expert in our spice blends and teas to share knowledge.
• Assist with store displays, restocking, and keeping the retail space clean.
• Cross-train to help with blending and packaging.
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Assist the General Manager with daily store operations and tasks.
• Open and close the store, including counting cash till and securing keys.

What You’ll Do:

• Welcome every guest with a warm smile and friendly greeting.
• Engage with customers to ask the right questions and make personalized product recommendations.
• Become an expert in our unique spice blends and teas to share product knowledge with confidence.
• Assist with store displays, restocking, and maintaining a clean, organized retail environment.
• Cross-train to help with blending and packaging our small-batch gourmet products.
• Process transactions efficiently and accurately using our point-of-sale system.
• Assist General Manager with day-to-day store operations, including delegating jobs to employees & completing projects set forth by the Management team
• Open & close the store, including counting a till & holding keys.
