Job summary

The Spice & Tea Exchange of Lexington is seeking a friendly Part-Time Sales Associate in Lexington, VA 24450. You’ll welcome guests, guide them through our spice blends and teas, and help create a warm shopping experience.

You will also assist with blending and packaging our small-batch products, restock displays, and operate the Tea Bar to prepare to-go beverages. Prior retail or service experience is preferred, with flexible weekend/holiday availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or retail roles is preferred.
• Strong communication and friendly, customer-first attitude.
• Willingness to learn about spice and tea products.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with product recommendations.
• Explain spice blends and teas with confidence to customers.
• Restock displays and maintain clean, organized retail space.
• Assist in blending and packaging small-batch products as needed.
• Prepare and serve to-go tea beverages at the Tea Bar.
• Support production manager with prep and packaging activities.

As a Sales Associate, you’ll help create a warm, inviting shopping experience while sharing your love of food and flavor, and assist our production manager in blending and packaging our products.

What You’ll Do:

• Welcome every guest with a warm smile and friendly greeting.
• Engage with customers to ask the right questions and make personalized product recommendations.
• Become an expert in our unique spice blends and teas to share product knowledge with confidence.
• Assist with store displays, restocking, and maintaining a clean, organized retail environment.
• Cross‑train to help with blending and packaging our small-batch gourmet products.
• Make & serve to-go tea beverages at our Tea Bar.
