Job summary

Mattel is seeking a Key Account Management Summer Intern for 10-12 weeks at headquarters in El Segundo, CA. You will join the Target account team and partner on or lead key strategic projects for the account. You will help coordinate plans, analyze sales data and enhance online/mobile channels.

You’ll gain mentorship, guidance and peer collaboration as part of a team-driven internship program designed to develop future leaders in sales and account management.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university as a rising senior, graduating in 2028.
• Major/minor in Business, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Retail Development or related field.
• Interest in pursuing a career in Sales/Account Management.
• Proven communication, verbal, written and analytical skills.
• Must be able to be sensitive to other cultures’ styles of working.
• Must be able to keep sensitive information confidential.
• Strong MS Office Suite Skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Detail-oriented, organized, methodical, process-oriented thinker.
• Effective time management; juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
• Self-starter; work well independently or in a team.
• Positive, high-energy attitude; accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and executing planogram (if applicable).
• Analyzing internal and external sales data to make insightful recommendations.
• Enhancing the .com and mobile businesses (if applicable).
• Creating reports and presentations to communicate the account plan.
• Evaluating and pitching for Promotional placement.
• Participating in a sales intern group project.
• Collaborating on projects within the Sales Division to drive toy sales strategies.
