GPAC is recruiting a Key Account Manager - Pet in Atlanta, GA for an in-office role. You will manage and expand relationships with national and regional Pet Specialty retailers and distributors, shaping account strategy, driving revenue, and improving distribution channels.

You will analyze sales data, lead business reviews, and collaborate across teams to deliver promotions and growth, while traveling regionally as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
  • 3-7 years of sales or key account management experience.
  • Experience with Pet Specialty, Pet CPG, Food & Beverage, or related consumer products.
  • Ability to interpret sales data and identify growth opportunities.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow strategic relationships with national and regional Pet Specialty retailers and distributors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts.

We're seeking a Key Account Manager - Pet to manage and expand relationships with key national and regional retailers and distributors within the Pet Specialty channel.
This is an opportunity for a strategic, relationship-driven sales professional who knows how to uncover opportunities, build trust with customers, turn data into action, and turn strong relationships into measurable growth.
This is not an order-taking account management role.
You’ll have the opportunity to influence account strategy, expand distribution, identify new revenue opportunities, lead customer presentations, and help shape how products grow within the marketplace.

What You'll Do
  • Manage and grow strategic relationships with national and regional Pet Specialty retailers and distributors
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts
  • Develop account strategies designed to increase sales, distribution, and market presence
  • Identify opportunities for incremental business and expansion within existing accounts
  • Analyze sales trends, purchase-order history, account performance, and profitability
  • Develop and execute promotional strategies to drive volume and visibility
  • Lead and participate in customer business reviews and sales presentations
  • Build strong relationships with customer headquarters, regional teams, and distributors
  • Provide sales forecasts and input to production and demand-planning teams
  • Partner with leadership on pricing, promotions, quotes, and account strategy
  • Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and merchandising strategies
  • Resolve customer issues and ensure strong service and execution
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, production, and leadership teams
  • Manage expenses in accordance with established guidelines
  • Travel locally or regionally as needed
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field
  • 3-7 years of sales or key account management experience
  • Experience within Pet Specialty, Pet CPG, Food & Beverage, or related consumer products
  • Experience working with retail headquarters, regional offices, and/or distributors
  • Strong analytical and business-development skills
  • Ability to interpret sales data and identify growth opportunitiesStrong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Experience creating and delivering PowerPoint sales presentations
  • Excellent organization and time-management abilities
  • Ability to build relationships across multiple levels of an organization
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Willingness to travel locally or regionally
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Comfortable working in-office in Atlanta, GA
