Job summary

Jobtailor in Dallas seeks an experienced pharmaceutical sales professional to drive territory objectives and promote oncology and specialty products across community practices, academic centers, and hospitals.

You will develop strategic plans, analyze market trends, and build durable relationships with physicians, pharmacists, and care teams while navigating reimbursement pathways and product access with internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech or related healthcare sales experience with sales objectives achievement.
  • Experience managing complex healthcare accounts across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience selling specialty pharmaceutical products or managing account-based selling models.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare delivery systems and pharmaceutical commercialization.
  • Oncology/hematology or buy-and-bill experience preferred.
  • Experience selling into community oncology practices, academic medical centers, hospitals, or IDNs.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed territory sales objectives and brand performance goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Develop and execute territory business plans prioritizing high-value accounts and growth opportunities.
  • Manage the territory through targeted customer planning and account prioritization.
  • Analyze territory data, market trends, prescribing patterns, and competitive activity to adjust strategies.
  • Deliver compliant promotional activities and communicate clinical, safety, and product information to healthcare professionals.
  • Deliver tailored product presentations to stakeholders' clinical and business needs.
  • Manage territory resources, including promotional materials, speaker programs, and budgets.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with oncology physicians, specialists, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, and practice leaders.
  • Build relationships across community oncology practices, academic medical centers, hospital systems, and IDNs.
  • Partner with Market Access, Trade, Patient Services, and internal teams to address reimbursement pathways, product access, distribution, and patient support.

Job description

  • Achieve or exceed territory sales objectives and brand performance goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Manage the territory through effective customer targeting, call planning, account prioritization, and performance analysis.
  • Analyze territory data, market trends, prescribing patterns, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and adjust strategies.
  • Execute compliant promotional activities and communicate approved clinical, safety, and product information to healthcare professionals.
  • Deliver effective product presentations tailored to the clinical and business needs of individual stakeholders.
  • Manage territory resources responsibly, including approved promotional materials, speaker programs, educational initiatives, and assigned budgets.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with oncology physicians, specialists, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, practice administrators, outpatient and infusion center leadership, and other healthcare stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships across community oncology practices, academic medical centers, hospital systems, and integrated delivery networks.
  • Partner with Market Access, Trade, Patient Services, and internal support teams to help address customer needs related to reimbursement pathways, product access, distribution, and patient support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of successful pharmaceutical, biotechnology, specialty healthcare, or related healthcare sales experience with demonstrated achievement against sales objectives.
  • Experience managing complex healthcare accounts and developing relationships across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience selling specialty pharmaceutical products or managing account-based selling models.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare delivery systems and pharmaceutical commercialization.
  • Preferred Experience Oncology, hematology, specialty pharmacy, or buy-and-bill experience.
  • Experience selling into community oncology practices, academic medical centers, hospitals, or IDNs.
  • Experience supporting product launches, relaunches, acquired brand integrations, or specialty pharmaceutical commercialization.
  • Established relationships within oncology accounts or healthcare systems within the assigned geography.
  • Understanding of specialty distribution models, medical benefit reimbursement, pathways, protocols, and oncology practice workflows.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to travel as required, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Must reside within the assigned territory or be willing to relocate prior to start date.
