This position is with our Adhesive Technologies business unit – where we empower our people to transform industries and provide our customers with a competitive advantage through adhesives, sealants and functional coatings.

The primary role of the Key Account Manager is to manage their accounts by producing long-term profitable growth in the dollar and stationery channels. The candidate will serve as a knowledgeable representative of the business both internally and externally, while partnering with the customer to ensure Henkel’s brands are positioned for growth. Building relationships and the ability to execute swiftly with strong decision-making skills are the KAM’s keys to success. This position offers great exposure to a global manufacturer and national retailers, while providing growth opportunities. Dare to make an impact!

What You´ll Do

  • Managing the Dollar and Stationery accounts to achieve sales, profit, and budget goals annually. Monitor and report progress regularly.
  • Expectation to learn and develop extensive knowledge of the customers, product categories, competition, and market.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customer contacts, including merchandising, supply chain, replenishment, .com and marketing.
  • Monitor competitive placement in the market and provide Marketing updates and recommendations to ensure Henkel brands are succeeding at retail.
  • Actively work with internal support teams to ensure the customer’s business is being served well and the brands are in a position to excel. This includes customer care, marketing, supply chain, etc.
  • Analyze data to monitor performance and develop action plans where needed. This includes customer POS, internal financial metrics, replenishment & promotional orders, internal & external forecasts, maintaining proformas, etc.
  • Support execution of Product Line Reviews (strategy, presentation, planograms, etc.) in conjunction with cross-functional teams
  • Partner with customers Omni, Marketplace, and Retail Media teams to grow business
  • Actively participate in the preparation and execution of key customer meetings throughout the year including, but not limited to, customer merchandising meetings, PLRs, top-to-top meetings, product demo days, etc.
  • Hybrid work environment with approximately 3 days in office and 2 days of remote work
  • Available to travel for customer and corporate meetings, training, and market visits. (Typically, less than 20%).

What Makes You a Good Fit

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Focus on business preferred
  • Experience in Sales, Marketing, and/or Data & Financial Analysis.
  • CPG industry preferred.
  • Dollar Channel account experience a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong analytical ability
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, perform quickly while ensuring accuracy
  • Effective written & verbal communication
  • Negotiation tactics and decision-making capability
  • Willingness to learn & grow
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook a must.
  • Experience with 1010, IRI, Numerator, Kantar, etc.. is a plus

The salary for this role is $80,000.00 - $115,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
