Job summary

Silgan Dispensing is seeking a Key Account Manager - Global Accounts to manage and grow strategic relationships with top consumer brands. You will lead long, complex sales cycles, develop growth plans, and partner with Procurement, R&D, Marketing, and Operations to deliver customer solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in key account management or direct sales, a Bachelor's degree in Business, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Key Account Management or direct sales experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
• Packaging, dispensing, or CPG industry experience preferred.
• Experience selling into FMCG/CPG companies.
• Demonstrated success managing complex, long sales cycles and strategic relationships.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience using Salesforce CRM or similar platform.

What You’ll Do

• Manage strategic global customer accounts and develop long-term growth plans.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities through consultative selling.
• Partner with Procurement, R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, and executive stakeholders.
• Lead complex commercial negotiations while protecting margins and strengthening customer relationships.
• Manage a robust sales pipeline and maintain accurate forecasting in Salesforce.
• Work cross-functionally with Innovation, Marketing, Design, and Operations to deliver customer solutions.
• Successfully manage long sales cycles common within the packaging industry, keeping multiple stakeholders engaged from initial opportunity through commercialization.

What We’re Looking For

• The ideal candidate should reside in the Midwest, with a preference for candidates based in Cincinnati, Ohio
• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
• 5+ years of Key Account Management or direct sales experience.
• Packaging, dispensing, or CPG industry experience preferred.
• Experience selling into Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies.
• Demonstrated success managing complex, long sales cycles and strategic customer relationships.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience using Salesforce CRM or similar platform.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

The anticipated starting salary for this position is $140,000 plus bonus. Final compensation may be higher and will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s experience, qualifications, and overall value they bring to the organization.
