Job summary

The Salvation Army in Indiana is seeking a Kettle Driver for the Red Kettle Campaign season (November–December). You will drive an insured Salvation Army vehicle to transport bell ringers and equipment, and act as an ambassador for the organization.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, background checks, and at least two years of driving experience. Responsibilities include delivering kettles, checking on bell ringers, recording data, and ensuring safety and security of funds.

Qualifications

• HS diploma preferred but not required
• Background check will be reviewed
• Minimum 2 years driving experience
• Must have a valid driver’s license and drive required vehicle

Responsibilities

• Drive insured Salvation Army vehicle to transport bell ringers and equipment
• Drop off/pick up kettles and equipment in a pre-determined order
• Document time and ensure accuracy of forms related to bellringing
• Supervise paid bell ringers and volunteers
• Report incidents to supervisor immediately
• Keep vehicles clean and fueled; secure kettles and equipment
• Coordinate data for workers and sites with Kettle Coordinator
• Prepare for next day’s activities and secure funds
