The Salvation Army Gainesville is seeking a driver/warehouse assistant to support the annual Red Kettle Bell Ringing Campaign. You will transport ringers and kettles to designated sites each morning, monitor kettle inventory, and swap equipment as needed. Evenings involve kettle pickups and documenting shifts and hours on slips.

This role involves outdoor work, variable weather, and light lifting. A valid driver's license and reliability are essential parts of the job.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
• Valid state driver's license required.
• Ability to lift and move light objects (<25 lbs).
• Reliable transportation and punctuality essential.

Responsabilidades

• Transport bell ringers and kettles to assigned locations each morning.
• Meet with paid kettle ringers at Salvation Army locations.
• Maintain kettle inventory and swap kettles as needed during the day.
• Collect kettles in the evenings and secure equipment.
• Record shifts and hours on kettle slips and track attendance.
• Perform spot checks at ring locations when shifts begin and end.

This position is responsible for:Assisting with the annual Salvation Army Red Kettle Bell Ringing Campaign. Transport ringers and kettles to their designated locations.Key Responsibilities:Meet with paid Kettle Bell ringers at The Salvation Army each morning to transport bell ringers and kettles to their designated location.Keep inventory of kettles and switch out kettles as needed during the day.Pick up kettles in the evenings.Keep track of all paid bell ringer shifts and hours by indicating start and stop times on kettle slips.Transport ringers and kettles to their designated location.Perform spot checks on bell ringer locations at times other than beginning and end of shifts.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Limited amount of physical effort required associated with lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.). Work requires driving a vehicle daily with exposure to the outdoors where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work is performed outside where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather and discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt.
