Job summary

The Salvation Army in Columbus, GA is seeking a Driver/Kettle Coordinator to assist with the annual Red Kettle Bell Ringing Campaign. You will transport bell ringers and kettles to assigned locations every morning and return in the evening, ensuring timely deployments.

You will keep kettle inventory, rotate kettles as needed, track paid shifts and hours, perform regular spot checks, and follow GPS directions while upholding the organization’s Christian principles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One to two years of experience in a related field preferred.
• Certifications: Valid State Driver’s License.

This position is responsible for:Assist with the annual Salvation Army Red Kettle Bell Ringing Campaign. Transport ringers and kettles to their designated location.Key Responsibilities:Meet with paid Kettle Bell ringers at The Salvation Army each morning to transport bell ringers and kettles to their designated location.Keep inventory of kettles and switch out kettles as needed during the day.Pick up kettles in the evenings.Keep track of all paid bell ringer shifts and hours by indicating start and stop times on kettle slips.Transport ringers and kettles to their designated location.Perform spot checks on bell ringer locations at times other than beginning and end of shifts.Conducts job duties in accordance with the ministry of The Salvation Army and its Christian principles.Attends employee meetings as required.Perform other duties as required.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Limited amount of physical effort required associated with lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.). Work requires driving a vehicle daily with exposure to the outdoors where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work is performed outside where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather and discomforts associated with noise, dust, and dirt.
