Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a part-time seasonal driver in Daytona Beach, FL, for November through December. The role involves collecting donations, loading/unloading gifts, and transporting them between sites and the Christmas warehouse. You will need a valid driver's license and the ability to meet Salvation Army driving standards.

Applicants must have at least two years of driving experience, read and speak English, and be able to lift up to 100 lbs. Seasonal schedule is up to 29 hours/week.

Responsibilities

• Drives Salvation Army vehicle to malls to collect gifts and transport to the warehouse.
• Drives to homes, agencies, and churches to pick up donations and stockings.
• Loads and unloads gifts, ensures security and accountability of vehicle and donations.
• Picks up and transports kettle workers to locations as needed.
• Assists in warehouse duties as requested and maintains safety standards.

This is a seasonal position working Early November – December 24, 2026Schedule/Hours: Part-Time, up to 29 hours/weekThis position is responsible for:Drives Salvation Army vehicle to mall(s) to pick up gifts and take them to the Christmas warehouse. Responsible for driving to and from homes, agencies, and churches to pick up gifts, stockings, etc.Key Responsibilities:Loads and unloads gifts from the vehicle to the warehouse.Operates the vehicle in compliance with established Salvation Army standards and State driving regulations; lifts, carries, loads, and unloads Christmas donations, gifts, stocks, etc.Ensures the safety, security and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times.Drives kettle workers to and from kettle locations.Assists in performing work at the Christmas warehouse/center as requested.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to become and remain certified to drive a Salvation Army vehicle.Ability to meet attendance requirements.Ability to read and communicate the English language.Ability to operate commercial equipment.Ability to exert the physical energy required to performing duties given.Ability to perform continuous stooping, standing and climbing as well as lift and carry and/or push/pull moderate (25 – 50 lbs.) and possibly heavy (50-100 lbs.) materials and donations.Work is performed in a warehouse building with some exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, dust and/or disagreeable sights and orders.High School diploma or GED, ANDTwo years’ driving experience, ORAny equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilitiesLicenses & Certifications:Valid State Driver’s License required, with ability to meet Salvation Army driving requirements for insurance purposes and remain qualified to drive a Salvation Army vehicle throughout the course of employment in this position.Equal Opportunity Employer: Veterans | Disabled
