Job summary

Pueblo of San Felipe seeks a Keres Instructional Learner to assist the Keres Instructional Mentor in planning, development, and implementation of language programs for tribal members at home and in schools. The role supports collaboration with Keres Instructors across community and school settings, helping align curricula and lesson planning to ensure consistent learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a related field preferred.
• Keres Teaching Certification Required.
• Fluent in Keres and English; understands Pueblo of San Felipe cultural practices.

Responsibilities

• Attends Keres Instructional and Curriculum Development sessions.
• Assists Mentor to develop and coordinate Keres Language Curriculum and Lesson Planning with school and community teachers.
• Partners with area schools, parents, and students to assess Keres language and culture needs.
• Promotes Keres Language and Culture Program activities and events through outreach.
