Job summary

The Pueblo of San Felipe seeks a Keres Instructional Mentor to plan, develop, implement, and monitor community and school programs that promote fluency in the Keres language. The mentor will guide Keres Instructors, provide pedagogy development, and align lessons across schools for consistent learning.

Qualifications include fluent Keres and English, a Keres Teaching Certification, HS diploma (associate degree preferred), and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in Keres and English with strong cultural knowledge.
• Keres Teaching Certification required.
• HS Diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in a professional office environment preferred.
• Strong writing and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and coordinates Keres Language Curriculum and Lesson Planning.
• Partners with schools, parents, and students to assess needs.
• Promotes language program activities through outreach.
• Oversees language classes, attendance, scheduling and activities.
• Reviews curricula and maintains best practices records.
• Attends professional development related to language revitalization.
