Job summary

AmeriVet Veterinary Partners in Point Loma (San Diego) is seeking a boarding/kennel technician and store employee to join an energetic team. The role involves hands-on pet care, feeding, bathing, and customer-service support, with opportunities to grow in nutrition and client care.

Ideal candidates have animal experience, reliable transportation, and are available for weekend shifts, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Pay ranges from $18 to $19.50 per hour, with benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with animals; comfortable with large groups of dogs and cats.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to work Saturdays and Sundays once–twice a month.

• Positive attitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Feeding and medicating boarding animals.
• Bathing dogs and cats including nail trims and ear cleaning.
• Rotating dogs to the backyard throughout the day.
• Supervising doggie playtime outside.
• Off-premise dog walking.
• Cleaning/sanitizing kennel and cat cages.
• Administering vaccines.
• Checking-in and out boarding/daycare/grooming animals.
• Assisting front desk/store staff when necessary.
• Cleaning/sanitizing kennel and outside area.

Job Description : Boarding / Kennel Position:

Pet Boarding / Daycare facility in Point Loma looking for kennel tech and store employee.

We’re looking for an energetic team player to join our crew. This is a great opportunity to gain more experience in all aspects of pet care, nutrition and customer service.

• Excellent customer service skills and upbeat personality
• cash register/cash-handling experience
• You must be available to work some holidays.

Absolutely required:

• Experience with animals. Must be comfortable in large groups of dogs, comfortable handling cats, etc.
• Reliable transportation
• Be able to work both Saturdays and Sundays on once - twice a month.
• Able to lift up to 50lbs
• Positive attitude and pay very close attention to detail.
• AviMark software/pet food knowledge a plus

Job Duties:

• Feeding and medicating boarding animals
