AmeriVet Veterinary Partners is seeking a kennel tech and store employee for our Point Loma location. You will care for boarding animals, bathe pets, and assist with day-to-day front desk duties while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires comfort with groups of dogs and cats, reliable transportation, and availability on Saturdays and Sundays once or twice a month. Physical work includes lifting up to 50 lbs and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience with animals and comfort around large groups of dogs and cats.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays once to twice a month.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Positive attitude with strong attention to detail.
• AviMark software or pet-food knowledge is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Feeding and medicating boarding animals.
• Bathing dogs and cats including nail trims and cleaning ears.
• Rotating dogs to the backyard and supervising outdoor playtime.
• Off-premise dog walking.
• Cleaning and sanitizing kennel and cat cages.
• Checking in/out boarding/daycare/grooming animals.
• Assisting front desk/store staff when needed.

Job Description: Boarding / Kennel Position

Pet Boarding / Daycare facility in Point Loma looking for kennel tech and store employee.

We’re looking for an energetic team player to join our crew. This is a great opportunity to gain more experience in all aspects of pet care, nutrition and customer service.

• Excellent customer service skills and upbeat personality


• cash register/cash-handling experience


• You must be available to work some holidays.

Absolutely Required

• Experience with animals. Must be comfortable in large groups of dogs, comfortable handling cats, etc.


• Reliable transportation


• Be able to work both Saturdays and Sundays on once - twice a month.


• Able to lift up to 50lbs


• Positive attitude and pay very close attention to detail.


• AviMark software/pet food knowledge a plus

Job Duties

• Feeding and medicating boarding animals


• Bathing dogs and cats including nail trims, ear cleaning, etc.


• Rotating dogs to backyard throughout the day


• Supervising doggie playtime outside


• Off-premise dog walking


• Clean/sanitizing dog runs and cat cages


• Administering vaccines


• Cleaning/sanitizing kennel and outside area


• Checking-in and out boarding/daycare/grooming animals


• Assisting front desk/store staff when necessary

$18 -$19.50
