About Oakdale Animal Hospital

Located in Brandon, MS, Oakdale Animal Hospital serves the Brandon and Flowood areas, providing pet care with a focus on education, nutrition, and the latest veterinary technology. We prioritize loving care in every procedure and check-up.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain cleanliness of the hospital, including kennels, treatment areas, and outside grounds.
  2. Feed hospitalized animals and boarders.
  3. Monitor and record animals’ conditions, behaviors, and habits.
  4. Walk animals three times daily.
  5. Notify medical staff of any unusual medical or behavioral issues.
  6. Clean treatment, exam, surgery, and lab areas daily.
  7. Manage laundry and keep the laundry area organized.
  8. Assist the veterinary team with restraint and treatment of animals.
  9. Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies.
  10. Perform additional duties to support clinic operations and client service.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, good judgment, and stress management.
  • Physical ability to lift over 50 lbs.
  • Previous kennel technician experience is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay: $12.00/hour, competitive salary based on experience.
