Job description

Pet Resort in the Garden is the premier pet resort facility located in Arlington, TX, at 2890-A Pioneer Parkway. We invite you to contact us to schedule a reservation or learn more about our services. We look forward to serving you and your pet!

Responsibilities of the Kennel Assistant:

1. Maintain cleanliness of the resort, including kennel areas, runs, and outdoor grounds.
2. Feed pets appropriately, including serving food and portions as needed.
3. Monitor and record animals’ conditions, behaviors, and habits.
4. Walk animals three times daily or as directed.
5. Notify management of any medical or behavioral concerns.
6. Keep laundry and laundry area neat and organized throughout the day.
7. Manage kennel inventory, including food and cleaning supplies.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Resort Manager to ensure excellent pet care, customer service, and smooth operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication skills, good judgment, and stress management abilities.
• Physical and mental capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Previous kennel assistant experience preferred.
