Woodland Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Kennel Assistant to care for boarding pets, provide meals and walks, and support the veterinary team with documentation and safety. The role emphasizes a clean, organized environment and compassionate animal handling.
Experience in kennel work is preferred; candidates should love animals and be comfortable with dogs and cats of various sizes, with good observational skills and a willingness to learn safety techniques.
Woodland Veterinary Hospital is growing, and we’re looking for a Kennel Assistant to join our team! If you love caring for animals and take pride in creating a clean, comfortable environment, this could be a great fit for you.
In this role, you’ll help make our boarding pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for during their stay. Your day will include providing meals, walks, and plenty of cuddles, along with administering medications and keeping a close eye on each patient’s health and behavior. You’ll document your observations carefully and communicate any concerns to the veterinary team. You’ll also play an important role behind the scenes by keeping kennels, treatment areas, and shared spaces clean, organized, and fully stocked so the entire hospital runs smoothly.
Woodland Veterinary Hospital has been caring for pets and the people who love them for more than 50 years. What began as a small clinic in 1975 has grown into a trusted, full‑service veterinary hospital serving Woodland and the surrounding communities.
Today, our 11,000-square‑foot campus is home to a collaborative team of 9 veterinarians and over 40 veterinary support professionals, all dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care. From wellness visits to urgent care and boarding, we’re proud to offer a wide range of services in one place, including access to advanced diagnostics and board‑certified specialists.
While we’ve grown over the years, our mission has stayed the same: to treat every pet like family and build lasting relationships with the clients we serve. We’re proud of our deep roots in the community and the legacy of care we continue to build every day.
