VCA Animal Care Center of Sonoma County is seeking an entry-level Patient Care Attendant to join our team in Rohnert Park, CA. The position offers a FT schedule (5/8's or 4/10's) with a pay range of $18.50–$20.00 per hour and opportunities to grow in veterinary care.

The successful candidate will support daily hospital operations—laundry, cleaning, stocking, and sanitation—while learning animal handling and basic patient care as experience increases.

Compensation : $ 18.50-$20.00/hr

Schedule : FT 5/8's or 4/10's

VCA Animal Care Center Veterinary Hospital is seeking an entry level Patient Care Attendant to join our team. If you are looking to get your foot in the door and start an exciting career in veterinary medicine, this is the position for you. The successful candidate will share our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our loyal clientele and the highest quality care to our patients.

What You’ll Do

• Running laundry throughout the shift
• Cleaning and maintaining hospital premises (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming)
• Emptying trash, recycling, and compost
• Cleaning and restocking exam rooms
• Cleaning cages and kennels
• Stocking supplies in common areas
• As you gain experience, you’ll have opportunities to learn animal handling and restraint, patient husbandry, and basic patient care and treatments.

• Works well on a team and independently
• Is compassionate, reliable, and eager to learn
• Has strong communication skills
• Understands the importance of cleanliness in a hospital setting
• Can stand for most of a shift and lift up to 40 lbs
• Is flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of a 24/7 hospital schedule
