Job summary

Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital is seeking a reliable Kennel Assistant to join our animal care team. This full-time role (30+ hours per week) requires AM and PM shifts and offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus paid time off and staff pet discounts.

You will maintain kennels and treatment areas, care for hospitalized and boarding patients, and assist with basic grooming and restraint as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in nail trims, ear cleanings, anal gland expressions, and bathing animals.
• Comfortable working with animals of all sizes and temperaments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Must be on your feet most of the shift.
• Ability to lift and assist animals as needed.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain kennels, runs, cages, and treatment areas
• Feed, water, and care for hospitalized and boarding patients
