DROP-N-HOOK TO AND FROM OUR DC'S. RUNNING TO AZ/CA/OR
The Over-the-Road Intercompany Class A Driver safely and efficiently transports KeHE products, equipment, and other authorized freight between KeHE distribution centers, consolidation points, suppliers, customers, and approved third-party locations. The driver primarily supports intercompany network capacity and may also haul external, backhaul, or brokerage freight when assigned under the applicable operating authority. The role operates dry and temperature-controlled tractor-trailer equipment across multi-state routes while protecting product integrity, meeting appointments, maintaining accurate records, and providing timely exception communication. As with all positions at KeHE Distributors, we expect that all actions will be consistent with KeHE’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
The driver must be able to safely enter and exit tractor and trailer equipment; sit and drive for extended periods; couple and uncouple equipment; open and secure trailer doors; connect air and electrical lines; perform inspections at ground level and around equipment; and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, with occasional heavier effort as allowed by policy and reasonable accommodation. Work occurs in warehouses, yards, docks, highways, customer sites, and outdoor conditions that may include heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, noise, traffic, and uneven surfaces. The position is primarily no-touch linehaul but may require freight checks, pallet or load securement, and limited handling necessary to protect the load.
Routes are expected to operate in approximately two-week dispatch cycles. Drivers may be away from their home domicile for 10-14 consecutive days and may take qualifying rest periods in the sleeper berth or at an approved location. Scheduled home time should be defined before recruiting and communicated consistently; dispatch may include nights, weekends, holidays, and changes caused by service, weather, maintenance, or lawful hours-of-service constraints. The driver must never be directed or expected to violate HOS rules to meet an appointment.
