Job summary

KeHE Distributors in Stockton, CA, is seeking a reliable Class A CDL Driver to join our employee-owned team. This role emphasizes local, home-daily routes with occasional regional trips to WA/NV/OR, delivering to Direct Store Delivery locations while upholding safety and accuracy.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain logs in Samsara, support customer service, and represent KeHE’s values of service and accountability.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• 12 months of verifiable driving experience, or <12 months with a clean MVR.
• Pass a TSA background check (preferred for the Airport account).
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting and loading.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with a service mindset.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the role.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A vehicle, delivering to DSD locations within the regional area.
• Execute daily routes safely and on time, maintaining accurate logs.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Load and unload product, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
• Maintain logs in Samsara and comply with DOT regulations.
• Foster positive relationships with store personnel and customers.
• Adhere to safety standards and company protocols, and adapt to schedule changes.
• Represent KeHE values through community engagement and reliable service.

Essential Functions

• Mostly Local home daily, but must be able to run Regional routes to WA/NV/OR at times.
• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle, complying with all federal, state, and local regulations while delivering product to Direct Store Delivery (DSD) locations within the assigned regional area.
• Execute daily assigned routes and deliveries efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of product to customers.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment, reporting any maintenance or operational issues to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Load and unload product at delivery sites, ensuring accuracy in all deliveries and proper handling of goods.
• Maintain accurate logs and vehicle service records in Samsara in compliance with company policy and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Foster positive relationships with store personnel at delivery locations, demonstrating a commitment to customer service and KeHE's values of putting people first.
• Adhere to all company safety standards and follow established protocols for maintaining a safe driving record.
• Adapt to changing schedules, routes, and assignments in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
• Act as an ambassador for KeHE’s values by participating in community initiatives and contributing to a culture of respect, inclusivity, and service.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• 12 months of verifiable driving experience, or less than 12 months with a perfectly clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) (no tickets or accidents).
• Be able to pass a TSA background check (Preferred for the Airport account)
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading product.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with a commitment to representing KeHE's values of service to others.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly, with a sense of ownership and accountability for the role.
