A competent Psychiatric Licensed Practical Nurse who practices psychiatric-mental health nursing under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs general nursing tasks for the holistic care and treatment of patients’ medical and psychiatric needs.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementing, and coordination of care.
• Health teaching and health promotion of psychiatric and medical healthcare needs of a unique patient population.
• Engaging in mission‑driven leadership focused on patient care and quality improvement.
• Following policies and procedures of the facility.
• Adhering to time and attendance policies, including mandatory overtime.
• Being subject to recall to duty, being held over and to irregular day/shift rotation whenever necessary to provide adequate coverage to meet facility needs.
• Maintaining mandatory COVID and Influenza vaccinations.

Employment Details

Time Type: Full time. Mandatory operations by the Appointing Authority; therefore, the staff member is not eligible for Adverse Weather Leave.
