Job summary

SKT, Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic II – APG / Crew Chief to perform KC-135 aircraft maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and documentation at Fairchild AFB, WA. You will support flightline operations, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and provide on-the-job training to less experienced technicians.

Some TDY travel to other KC-135 locations may be directed. A minimum of three years of heavy aircraft maintenance experience is required; USAF KC-135 experience preferred; A&P

Qualifications

• 3+ years of aircraft maintenance on military heavy aircraft.
• APG/crew chief, flightline maintenance, launch/recovery experience required.
• Experience with aircraft orders, maintenance manuals, and documentation systems required.
• A&P certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform KC-135 general maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repair, servicing, and documentation.
• Accomplish pre-flight to post-flight maintenance tasks and inspections.
• Troubleshoot aircraft structures, landing gear, engines, and related systems.
• Provide on-the-job training to less experienced mechanics as directed.
• Support TDY maintenance operations at other KC-135 locations as required.
