Job summary

Wipro Limited in the United States is seeking an experienced SRE/DevOps engineer to apply SRE principles to improve reliability, availability, and performance. You will drive automation initiatives and build robust CI/CD pipelines using Ansible, scripts, and Bitbucket/Jenkins.

The role requires a Java development background, strong Linux knowledge, and hands-on experience with monitoring, incident response, and operational excellence within distributed systems. AWS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Kafka integration and architecture knowledge required.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in SRE/DevOps.
• Experience with automation using Ansible and scripting.
• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines and tooling.
• Strong Java development background for tooling ecosystems.
• Experience with Linux, distributed systems, monitoring and alerting.
• Exposure to incident response and production support.

Responsibilities

• Apply SRE principles to improve reliability, availability, and performance.
• Drive DevOps and automation initiatives to reduce toil.
• Build and enhance automation using Ansible, scripts, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform incident management, RCA, capacity planning, and operational readiness.
• Collaborate closely with application and platform engineering teams.
• Contribute to Java-based tooling and platform enhancements.
