Job summary

Kaempf & Harris Sheetmetal, a Division of R.W. Warner, Inc., is seeking a Sheet Metal Helper/Laborer to support skilled metal workers in shop and field settings.

The role involves assisting with fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal products while performing general labor tasks to keep projects running smoothly and safely. You will gain experience in measuring, cutting, bending, drilling, and assembling parts, and you’ll help with the installation of ductwork and other sheet

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Construction, shop, or mechanical experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools and power tools.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks.
• Comfortable working in shop, outdoors, heights, confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Assist with measuring, cutting, bending, drilling, and assembling sheet metal parts.
• Support installation of ductwork, panels, and other sheet metal products in shop or field locations.
• Load, unload, and move tools, materials, and equipment.
• Hold, align, and secure sheet metal parts during fabrication or installation.
• Perform basic tool and machine operations under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in shop and job sites.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of work areas, equipment, and materials.
• Follow all safety policies and wear PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

The Sheet Metal Helper/Laborer supports skilled sheet metal workers in both shop and field settings. Responsibilities include assisting with the fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal products, as well as performing general labor tasks to keep projects running smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $20 - $23 per hour (Salary will be determined based on experience)
