Job summary

Allied Universal® Enhanced Protection Services is seeking a Canine Training Specialist/K9 Officer to deliver K9 services at assigned sites, manage patrols, and oversee housing and transport of a company-owned K9. The role includes training coordination, tracking team costs, and vehicle maintenance records while upholding high training standards.

The position requires a minimum of two years of military, law enforcement, or corrections experience, or related duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License with driving experience and clean record.
• Minimum two years in military, law enforcement, or corrections.
• Ability to take initiative and manage deadlines.
• Highly organized with reliable information handling.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related office tech.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and patrol with K9 at assigned work sites
• Conduct routine and prescribed searches utilizing the K9
• Maintain K9 Team training standards
• Administrative duties, such as cost tracking, incident reports, daily activity logs, training logs, and vehicle maintenance logs
• Maintain knowledge in K9 tactics
• Liaison with clients, senior corporate staff, and management
• Develop and deliver K9 demonstrations to new clients and the public
• National travel, as necessary
• Maintain K9 team certifications as required
