Job summary

The Willow School in Gladstone, NJ seeks daily substitute teachers to cover all subjects and grades Preschool–8. We are building a pool of candidates to join a dedicated team and uphold our mission and community.

This position is available immediately with multiple openings; compensation is $150 per day and candidates should be flexible to support various classrooms and duties as needed. The ideal substitutes will collaborate closely with faculty, communicate effectively with families, and

Qualifications

• Substitute for teachers and teaching assistants.
• Lead and reinforce lessons developed by the head teacher.
• Assist with record-keeping, such as taking attendance.
• Support the campus with recess/lunch/dismissal duties and general classroom management.
• Demonstrate outstanding teamwork and communication with parents, students, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Substitute for teachers and teaching assistants.
• Lead and reinforce lessons developed by the head teacher by reviewing materials with students.
• Support the campus by performing tasks including but not limited to recess/lunch/dismissal duties, enforcing classroom/school rules.
• Perform light classroom maintenance.
• Assist with record-keeping, such as taking attendance.
• Demonstrate outstanding teamwork and collaboration with all members of the Willow faculty.
• Demonstrate outstanding communication skills with parents, students, and colleagues.
