Job summary

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP PUBLIC SCHOOLS is seeking an As Needed Substitute Teacher (K-8). The per diem rate is $165.00/day, with duties including following the teacher's plans, supervising students, and reporting to the principal.

Applicants must hold a valid New Jersey teaching or substitute certificate (minimum 60 college credits) and be able to work with children. Position is part-time with no vacation time, and is an as-needed substitute role across all buildings.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey teaching or substitute certificate or 60 college credits.
• Familiarity with district philosophy, programs and policies.
• Ability to work with children and communicate effectively.
• Other qualifications as specified by the Gloucester Township Board of Education.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Principal or designee.
• Review plans and schedules with the Principal.
• Follow the teacher's schedule and lesson plans.
• Supervise pupil behavior in class and during assigned periods.
• Prepare a daily report for the regular classroom teacher and Principal.
