Qualifications

• Experience in Special Education or related classroom setting.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring.
• Experience with behavior management and diverse learners.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work with students, families, teachers, and staff.
• Criminal background check completed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging Special Education lesson plans and instruction.
• Develop, implement, and monitor student IEP goals.
• Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on student needs.
• Differentiate instruction and learning activities to support a variety of abilities.
• Assess, document, and monitor student academic and behavioral progress.
• Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
• Implement effective classroom and behavior management strategies.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers.
• Maintain accurate IEPs, grades, attendance records, progress reports, and other required documentation.
• Communicate regularly with parents and members of the student support team regarding student progress and needs.
• Follow school policies, procedures, and applicable Special Education requirements.
