Job summary

Distinctive Schools is seeking a K-8 Spanish Teacher in Chicago, IL. The role reports to the Principal and starts October 2026 with a starting salary for certified teachers at $70,000.

The position is Regular Full Time, with a strong focus on engaging instruction and social justice-centered learning. Teachers will deliver grade-level standards using the core curriculum, maintain rigorous student engagement, and communicate progress to families.

Qualifications

• Valid Professional Educator License or enrollment in a Teacher Certification program within 30 days of employment.
• Content Area Endorsement required.
• Proficiency with cloud-based software solutions (Google Suite) and ability to learn new digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver standards-aligned, grade-appropriate instruction with frequent checks for understanding.
• Prepare and deliver engaging lessons using the core curriculum and resources.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with families about student learning.
• Participate in professional development and collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional effectiveness.
