Job summary

Legacy Traditional Schools is seeking a Substitute staff member to support campus operations and help students. You will work with staff, teachers, and administrators to keep processes running smoothly while assisting in classrooms, drop-off/pick-up, and supervision during activities.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED and strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills to maintain a safe and engaging learning environment for students across grade levels.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to positively interact with all students.
• Create a safe learning environment conducive to learning.
• Strong communication with students, staff, administrators and parents.
• Plan and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Works with campus staff and administrators in a K-8 setting to support operational functions.
• Assist in driveline pickup/drop-off and lunch/recess duty, and light cleaning between lunches.
• Assist in copying/prepping materials for teachers.
• Provide breaks coverage by answering phones and checking in students.
• Support teachers in the classroom with grading, bulletin boards, etc.
• Interact with students in a positive, professional manner to engage their learning.
• Supervise students during drills, assemblies, play periods, lunches and field trips.
• Float to areas of need, supporting staff breaks.
