Job summary

Legacy Traditional Schools is seeking a Substitute staff member to support staff, teachers and administrators in a K-8 setting. The role focuses on efficient school operations and assisting students with educational benefits.

You will help with grading, bulletin boards, classroom reinforcement, and supervision during drills, assemblies, lunch, and field trips, while collaborating with a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to interact positively with students.
• Excellent communication with staff and parents.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Wamiliarity with school procedures and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Support operational functions in a K-8 setting, including driveline duties, pickup, and lunch/recess support.
• Assist in the copy room and prepare materials for teachers.
• Provide breaks coverage by answering phones and checking in students.
• Assist teachers in the classroom with grading and bulletin boards.
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Supervise students during drills, assemblies, play periods, meals, and field trips.
• Float to areas of need to support staff; assist with drop-off/pick-up when needed.
