Job summary

Palominas Elementary District Palominas Elementary School - Hereford, Arizona is seeking a School Nurse to support student health within the district health program. Responsibilities

• Meets students needs from disease, accidents, or congenital conditions.
• Advise staff on modifications to meet health needs.
• Participate in Child Study Team meetings and IEP/504 planning as needed.
• Collect and record health data; ensure vaccination requirements.
• Report and interpret health data to parents, students, and staff.
• Maintain health records for each visit.
• Prepare and submit mandated reports.
• Administer and evaluate medication.
• Work with agencies to meet student needs.
• Provide health education and annual blood borne pathogen in-service sessions.
• Recommend exclusion/readmission per health policies.
• Perform annual hearing and vision screenings.
• Ensure vaccination records meet state requirements.
• Maintain emergency defibrillator.
• Consult with health professionals regarding ongoing care.

Education

Bachelor's Degree preferred

CPR certification

Hearing screening certification

LPN license in Arizona

Experience in school setting preferred
