Constellation Schools, part of ACCEL Schools, is seeking an experienced Assistant Principal in Cleveland, Ohio for K-8th grade education leadership. You will support the Principal in implementing the education program, supervise staff, and promote high expectations while ensuring safety and compliance with Ohio requirements.

• Minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field experience.
• Preferred Master's degree in Educational Leadership.
• Active Principal's License or willingness to obtain Alternative Principal's license.
• 3-5 years of teaching experience preferred.
• OTES credentialed or willing to become OTES credentialed.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Effectively supports the school's educational program and maximize student learning experiences in a safe learning environment.
• Maintains a welcoming, safe, clean, orderly, positive and effective learning environment which promotes high academic and behavioral expectations.
• Assists in the development of the school budget so as to insure the needs of the school can be met.
• Assists in interviewing potential school employees.
• Evaluates Teachers based on the Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES) and coaches teachers to reach their full potential.
• Attends meetings/activities and training with students, parents/guardians, and staff, as required.
• Participates in the student enrollment process.
• Implements Board policies and administrative regulations to provide an atmosphere in which students will succeed.
• Communicates effectively with staff, students, parents/guardians, and outside agencies to better meet the needs of the students.
