Job summary

Constellation Schools in Cleveland, Ohio, seeks an experienced Assistant Principal to support the Principal in delivering a rigorous K-8 education and to foster a nurturing, engaging learning environment. You will lead school initiatives, guide staff development, and ensure compliance with Ohio requirements.

Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, interviewing, and collaborating with families and the community to drive student achievement and program excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Master’s degree in Educational Leadership preferred.
• Active Principal license or willingness to obtain Alternative Principal's license.
• 3–5 years of teaching experience preferred.
• OTES credentialed or willing to become OTES credentialed.
• Experience with Teacher Based Team (TBT) and Building Leadership Team (BLT).
• Experience delivering Professional Development programs.
• Experience implementing Ohio Learning Standards and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Support the school’s educational program to maximize student learning in a safe environment.
• Assist in development of operating schedules and budget while ensuring needs are met.
• Interview potential staff and provide supervision in the absence of the School Principal.
• Collaborate with Principal, staff, families, and community to promote Constellation brand and student achievement.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal requirements and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
