Job summary

Dysart Unified School District is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Technician to provide a safe, clean, and properly maintained environment for students and staff.

Work focuses on building operations, grounds, and equipment, with collaboration with the Principal and Director of Facilities. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, two years of maintenance experience, and an AZ IVP FPCC. Heavy lifting and preventive maintenance are routine.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in maintenance and custodial work.
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled general maintenance and oversight of facilities, grounds, and equipment.
• Open/close buildings and secure campuses on time, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
• Maintain HVAC systems, water treatment, filters, and EMS control.
• Maintain walkways, playgrounds, and landscaping.
• Ensure classrooms and restrooms are stocked and clean; manage inventories.
• Coordinate equipment and grounds for activities; work with Principal weekly.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance; maintain logs and records.
• Schedule maintenance and coordinate with external contractors to minimize instructional disruption.
• Maintain and update records, inspections, and absence reports.
