Job summary

St. Edward School in Chicago seeks a compassionate Resource Teacher to support students in Grades K–8 with IEP goals for the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year.

You will work with the Student Services Coordinator, homeroom teachers, and leadership to implement individualized instruction, accommodations, and progress monitoring, including both one-on-one and push-in support in general classrooms.

Qualifications

• Understanding of child development and special education principles in private/parochial settings.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities for pull-out/push-in schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored one-on-one academic instruction aligned to IEP goals.
• Deliver push-in support in general education classrooms.
• Collaborate with Student Services Coordinator and teachers to track progress and adjust instruction.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about student growth and strategies.
• Maintain classroom environments and participate in required meetings.
