Job summary

Laura Lee Therapeutic Day School K-8 in Lowell, MA is seeking a Paraprofessional for an Adjustment K-8 position as a long term substitute. The role requires assisting teachers with activities for students with and without special needs, and helping with classroom routines and safety.

Qualified candidates will have passed the paraprofessional test or hold 48 college credits or a Bachelor's degree (preferred). Experience with ELL students and the relevant age group is expected.

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional test passed, OR 48 college credits or a Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
• Experience with the appropriate age group.
• Experience working with ELL students and students with and without special needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with developmentally appropriate activities.
• Help students entering/exiting buildings and classrooms, including lifting as needed.
• Support field trips and emergency drills.
• Assist with classroom routines such as snacks, cleanup, bathroom tasks, and other daily duties.
• Maintain a healthy and safe environment and perform assigned tasks by the principal.
• For HEALTH positions, assist with feeding, diapering, and toileting of children.
