Job summary

Community Teamwork Inc. seeks a Paraprofessional for its School Age Program in Lowell, MA. The role provides one-on-one support to children aged 5-13 with learning or behavioral needs and helps them participate in after-school activities.

The position emphasizes building positive relationships, safe supervision, and collaboration with Site Manager and clinical staff. Requires high school diploma and ability to pass a background check; weekday afternoons are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with school-age children in educational or childcare settings preferred.
• Ability to engage positively with individual children and work well in a team.
• Ability to pass background check including fingerprinting and provide a recent physical exam with MMR vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Offer one-on-one support to children aged 5-13 with special needs within the after-school program.
• Build trusting relationships with children and assist in all program routines.
• Follow supervisor guidance on behavior management and implement recommended interventions.
• Monitor safety, report concerns to the Site Manager, and communicate with families as needed.
• Collaborate with School Age and clinical staff and participate in required trainings.
