Job summary

MSAD 75 in Maine seeks a Paraprofessional in the K-8 Day Treatment Program to support classroom learning, behavior management, and inclusive education under the supervision of teachers and specialists. The role requires Maine Educational Technician certification, CHRC background check, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Eligible for pay rate of $22.66–$26.12/hour with district benefits and professional development.

Qualifications

• State of Maine Educational Technician I, II or III Certification.
• Background check (CHRC) authorization.
• BHP Certification or ability to obtain.
• Mandt trained or ability to obtain.
• Strong behavioral management skills with IEP/behavior plans.
• Demonstrated record keeping and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers and specialists to improve learning for all students.
• Reinforce and support instructional activities and IEP goals.
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, and on field trips.
• Assist with activities of daily living and adapt materials as needed.
• Participate in data collection and progress monitoring.
• Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, social workers, and therapists.
