The role involves assisting with lessons, supervising students during routines and events, handling clerical tasks, and using classroom technology, with a starting pay of $16.00 per hour and opportunities for growth within the ACCEL Schools network.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; Paraprofessional exam accepted.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Background check (BCI/FBI) required.
• Ability to meet educational standards and handle confidential information.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 25–40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Supports lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups.
• Assists with planning classroom activities and supports teacher in student/parent relations.
• Supports school activities and events (parent nights, faculty meetings, assemblies, etc.).
• Performs clerical duties such as grading papers and making copies.
• Assists the Teacher in the use of classroom technology.
• Maintains cleanliness of classroom, lunchroom, and other areas.
• Adheres to school philosophy and policies in all activities.
• Other duties as assigned, including field trips and duty shifts.
