Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree, two years of college coursework, or the Paraprofessional’s Exam.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI check.
• Ability to meet educational standards as applicable.
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups and follows instructional plans.
• Helps plan classroom activities and supports the Teacher in all student and parent relations.
• Assists with school activities including events, meetings, assemblies, fundraisers, chaperoning, and committees.
• Performs clerical duties such as grading papers and making copies.
• Assists the Teacher in the use of classroom technology.
• Maintains cleanliness of the classroom, lunchroom and other school areas.
• Understands and implements the school’s philosophy and mission in all activities.
• Performs other duties including field trips, morning and dismissal duties, and lunch duty.
